i would love to blog more, i really do. i love blogging and i love this blog. but on the one hand, i've been kind of busy? but at the same time, nothing really bloggable has happened to me. so, here's maybe just a rundown of what i've been doing and we'll see if i go off on any tangents. i have a uni info event in 15 minutes and need to pass the time.
i uhh did another two days of working on the wizard game. there are a bunch of rooms in it now and a little quest too!
i went to work (i'm helping out at an art supply/stationary store for a limited time while they're moving stores) and it's been ok. i feel myself becoming more and more anti-consumerist being around so much stuff that i feel is either useless or wastefully packaged. back in the day we used to put our travelling sewing kit together in a little tin we had lying around ourselves. and so many of the products there are so beige and soulless....i mean, the point i guess is lots of them are blanks for ppl to design themselves but still. it makes me angry seeing all this bland stuff that's kind of bad quality and was made under who knows what conditions. anyway. only 10 more days of that, so it's whatever.
i was finally able to scan my comic and it didn't take as long as i'd expected. the digital cleanup, however took one million years (2 whole days) but that's done now too #yay
all that's left now for this comic is making the cover art (which i feel like i'm procrastinating a little bit. hgn) and printing (yay to spending one million hours sitting by the riso. i need to make an appointment....)
that's all, really.
it's later in the day, now (ok well. it's almost 1 am). i was at a birthday party that was very nice but also very noisy. i don't do well with unstructured events like this (where it's like the main activity isn't an activity at all, you're just supposed to. mingle. or whatever) but everyone there was very nice and friendly and i'm happy i went and also that i was invited.
oh! i also did an offline day last weekend. which wasn't technically a fully offline day because the idea is more that i don't let myself get stuck scrolling social media and wait around for notifications and instead pay attention to the things i do. which means for example i still get to watch my mealtime show (at the time that was How To Get Away With Murder as per milo's recommendation (it's great, i liked season 1 a lot, but i need to take a break as all that murder is getting into my head. i don't want to have nightmares about killing people again). and now i'm rewatching geek girl, which is so fun and cute.) and do my puzzles (which are hosted online) and do productive things that require internet (like the pulp game). on saturday, i spent all day cleaning up my comic scans. and then i fell asleep more easily than i have been able to lately. wonder if that's connected in any way....
anyway. speaking of sleep. i'm so so tiered. like a big ol wedding cake. good night. calendar post soon, prommy. handheart
