goodnight sweet prince (my SONY CFS-1250L Radio Cassette-Corder)

today, i took apart my cassette player. it has been whining horribly and playing cassettes too slowly lately, which is fun and games in an ironic sort of way for two minutes and then just makes listening completely unenjoyable. with nothing to lose, i thought i could take a look inside the thing to see if i (with my extremely limited knowledge of electronics) might find something to fix and generally clean it up a little. also, i won't deny that seeing how a device like this that is really almost mechanical in its functionality is very interesting to me.

i made a calendar (badly planned and with not enough time. but i did)

on November 25th, 2025 i had a thought. what if i put my guy cool cat in a situation for every month of the year? what if i make a calendar. can't be that much work. can't take too long. well.

i'm having to do a reading of my uni comic and i'm kind of lost.

what i've been up to

i would love to blog more, i really do. i love blogging and i love this blog. but on the one hand, i've been kind of busy? but at the same time, nothing really bloggable has happened to me. so, here's maybe just a rundown of what i've been doing and we'll see if i go off on any tangents. i have a uni info event in 15 minutes and need to pass the time.

i'm programming again (it's called WIZARD ACADEMY and i'll never finish it)

every once in a while something possesses me to think maybe this time i can use my limited coding skills to make something usable and fun. last time (sometime last autumn) this was a library editor* for me to log the books i read (this one i actually managed to finish wowie. might talk abt that sometime). this time i wanna make a game (isn't that something we heard before....)

it is the day after this blog was born.

i didn't do much today. i slept in too late again (i've been having trouble falling asleep and as a result sleeping later than i would like to. sigh.) and between mealtimes and groceryshopping i just worked on my uni comic. it's going really well, i'm on stage 3 of drawing it and over a third of the way through (12/30 pages).

hazel reblogged this post calling for people to create a blog with blogger.com and then post on it every day and i felt intrigued. i've been wanting to get away a bit from instagram but a big thing that's holding me back is it's just such a convenient way to update your friends abt your life and vice versa keep up with what they are doing. so i'm hoping that this thang will give me a fun alternative way to do that.

if you haven't caught on yet, there is a theme to this blog. you are in my room. because i want this to be mostly just for my friends, so this needs to be cozy and whimsical and a little bit intimate.

i wanna talk about the books i read, the projects i'm working on and anything that's on my mind and i feel like sharing.
